There are three ways you can measure a person's character, and they're simple, but telling.

Watch how they treat you in one-on-one conversations, vs. in front of large groups.

Watch how they treat people like waiters, janitors, and grocery baggers.

Watch how they treat their family, vs. how they treat their friends.

And woo-hoo, someone finally joined my Matt Caplan diaryring, bringing the total membership to *2*! Now, to find members for the amputee ring... that's a bit more of a challenge.
