Yay! We have a new puppy!

At first Allegra wondered why she matched all the furniture:

But then she chilled and hung out with Ray a bit:

I took a picture of her sitting between my feet because it was so damn cute (and also to show just how tiny she is):

And even though she was fond of lying on the toilet mat, we put her in the little purple bed Krynn bought for her, and she seemed to be okay with that:

So yeah. Mon coeur and I both try to be practical and say we'll see how the weekend goes before deciding whether to keep her or not, but we're pretty much sold. She's just so much tiny and fuzzy and cuddly that we're already in love with her. Plus, she's been here over five hours and we haven't heard a peep out of her. I'd think she had no vocal cords at all, except she yipped once when someone picked her up by her belly a little too roughly (she was spayed on Wednesday, so she's still sore).

And even though she graced our carpet with a lovely little puppy-present within minutes of arriving, we caught her in the act and picked it up quickly, so no harm, no foul. After she stopped being nervous and took a nap, she perked right up and went from person to person, investigating faces, crawling into laps, and wagging her tail frantically.

So yeah. Barring apocalyptic-level problems over the weekend, we are keeping her.
