Feeling: freaked out

Reading/Watching: I really should be working on my project.

Okay, so in the calendar year of 2008, I have:

-Lost my voice
-Had a student try to kill me
-Been overwhelmed by work
-Lost stability/certainty in my marriage
-Gotten an ulcer
-Lost a best friend
-Traded recurring nightmares for recurring insomnia
-Nearly failed my grad class but for the grace of my forgiving prof
-Gotten the first speeding ticket of my entire life
-and tonight, had my tire blow out/fall apart going 75 miles per hour on the interstate. I pulled off the highway into a side street, and saw that the tread had completely ripped off the sidewall, and the toothless edges were the only thing separating my rims from the pavement.

I must be paying off some really, really, really bad karma.
