I am drowning my sorrows in interior decorating.

Today, mon coeur and I went to pick out the details for the house we're buying. Cabinet colors, carpet choices, tile colors and textures, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, la la la... the list went on, although we chose it all within about thirty minutes. When Katie gets going, she knows what she wants. She also does not fall for "ooh, shiny!" So there will be no marble counter tops or brass doorknobs in our humble little starter home, which will see the pitter-patter of Allegra The Destroyer's feet and vomiting, screaming, food-throwing babies in its time (yeah, we're opting for the cheap carpet for a reason).

It will, however, have a really big tub. Yaaaaay, bubble baths.

Oh, and... pretty floorplans, whee! (don't look at me... mon coeur never lived in a house for more than a year of his life, so he's obsessed with having a two-story.)
