Nature Walk with Meg March Feeling: happy Some people spend vacations lying on beaches in cute, revealing little bathing suits. Mon coeur and I prefer to shuffle around little towns, buying local wine, shopping, and eating really, really good food. For our token day with nature, we trudged up a big huge rock wearing t-shirts and jeans and stood in the wind for a couple hours. It takes about an hour to hike up there, and you feel it in your calves for days afterward. But for those who have never been to Enchanted Rock (about 20 miles north of Fredericksburg, Texas), here is my photographic explanation for why we chose it over a beach: And my personal favorite shot, because of the textures in the pink granite: And finally, a little video that mon coeur took while we were up there (he's in love with our new digital camera). I promise, the wind was not nearly as annoying as it sounds. So yeah. Good times. Same amount of sweat, not so much sunburn.
