The Butterfly and the Bumblebee Feeling: withdrawn One of the earmarks of a best friend: when you see her crying, you want to run to her, take her out of the room, and hug her until she stops. When you see her crying, you want to find an immediate solution, something fast and desperate, so that the look on her face will stop ripping you apart. When you see her crying, you want to find and eviscerate the person who caused it. That is how I know she is my best friend.
