Energizer Effortometer Feeling: irritated I sometimes wish we had little energy indicators on our chests. Like those batteries which light up like a radioactive thermometer when you press two little points on it, letting you know how much electricity is left. Except instead of reading off what's left inside, they could show you how much a person is willing expend on you. So everytime we shook hands, hugged, or touched in any way, a little green bar would appear, showing anywhere between the optimal to minimum effort they would give you. We could avoid wasting our time, sweating blood for people who couldn't give a crap if you paid them to do so. I would sleep so much better at night.
