I'm beginning to think that a job that relies entirely on hearing/listening skills and using a loud, clear speaking voice for eight hours straight is perhaps not the *wisest* choice for the half-deaf girl who loses her voice so easily.

Today I couldn't understand what people were saying all day, and I felt deaf. And turning up the volume on my headset makes me talk louder (I'm practically yelling, sometimes), which is hard on my vocal cords.

Whine.
