Weekly Bible Verse on MMWW?

Reading/Watching:

I love how my dad can sit down at the table, ask what I've done to look for a job today, and before I have a chance to tell him anything, start railing on how I'm not working hard enough and how it's my negative attitude that's keeping me unemployed.

He must have ESP. How else could he know without me telling him that I've applied to every single restaurant in the phone book?

He obviously doesn't know that every single place got that hopeful look in their eyes when I talked to a manager, until I mentioned the words "college in the fall" and all of a sudden I was shaking another hand and hearing "not looking for summer help."

Oh, yes, they look regretful, but they still say no. Does he care? No. Does he let me mention that? No. He just tells me again that I'm doing it wrong. How am I doing it wrong? I don't know. But since I'm not raking it in yet, I must be. Grr.

Anyway, in other news. I'm thinking of adding a weekly Bible verse to my website. Not sure how to advertise it- it shouldn't go in the writing section, obviously, b/c I didn't write it, but where else can it go? In its own?

And how will it be received? My site isn't going to become totally immersed in religion or anything, but I was saying proudly to a friend, "My webpage reflects every aspect of me- my writing, my sense of humor, my affinity for weird color combinations-" and she asked me if I had anything on there that told people about my faith. Well, no, I don't.

So I'm gonna. I'm not a crazed Bible-beater, but I am a proud member of the Catholic church, a graduated member of the Youth Board, and I want to put that somewhere on my site. You don't find my faith anywhere on my all-about-me page, so here it is.

Besides, you can find a special meaning in pretty much any line of the Bible, so I'm gonna find the ones I like every week and just put 'em up there. :) No explanations or interpretations, maybe just a link to a page called "Cool Verse". I'll even urge the people who instinctively want to push the "back" button to read it, especially. Because I've never been an extremely devout person- I wouldn't even assume I'm "saved" because far too often I do stuff I know I shouldn't, and the fact that I can't feel as guilty as I should or stop doing it is testament to my shaky ground...

But anyway. Wow, that is a big roach crawling up the wall... freaky. I live in a roach-ful house now? Eww.

My, we are off topic.

But yeah, new weekly Bible verses coming soon. If you're interested, be sure to tune in. It's gonna be fun. :)
