I think a large part of life is not about getting more, but wanting less.

It may sound defeatist, but it's true.

This entire summer? Has been great. Occasional pitfalls, but it's great. No emotional hassles. No crying over some stupid cro-magnon male, no self-recriminations for falling for a guy friend for the 186235th time.

Not getting more. Wanting less. Or best yet? Wanting nothing. That way you're never disappointed.
